Brandon and I somehow got to talking about those old Food Pyramid nutrition guidelines from our childhoods in the 80’s and 90’s - which naturally led to our drawing our own personal versions.

I have to say, I thought these would turn out highly exaggerated, but they’re actually more or less exact. If I’m really splitting hairs, my pyramid should have a tiny slice between fruits and coffee, representing cheese and meat and incidental vegetables: in short, sandwich contents. Also, Brandon doesn’t actually eat brains (that I know of).

Oh yeah things me and Marrriiannn eat.

gloomgaze:

I made this compilation ages ago for personal use but recently updated it and added some new stuff. Some of the songs on here are proper good and I haven’t seen anyone compile it all into one zip before, so here’s my attempt at it. There’s a few early tracks acoustic tracks on here, some in-between bits and demos from Deathconsciousness and The Unnatural World, as well as some songs from Tim and Dan’s abandoned punk project Gate, which basically sounds like a faster, more aggressive version of HANL. There’s more information in the readme inside the zip. Thanks to Dan for giving me the go-ahead for this.

"So much for Objective Journalism. Don’t bother to look for it here—not under any byline of mine; or anyone else I can think of. With the possible exception of things like box scores, race results, and stock market tabulations, there is no such thing as Objective Journalism. The phrase itself is a pompous contradiction in terms."

How to Criticize Israel Without Being Anti-Semitic

this-is-not-jewish:

If you’ve spent any time discussing or reading about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I guarantee you’ve heard some variation of this statement:

OMG, Jews think any criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic!

In the interests of this post, I’m going to assume that the people who express such…
